From zero releases in 2013 to half a dozen the next year. It looks like lady luck is shining bright on VTV hearthrob Silambarasan or STR, come this New Year. And evidently on a high, the actor tweeted on Saturday, ‘Feel like I’ve arrived, all over again. I’m ready to fly, people.. Nothings holding me back no more!’
So here is the line up. The much awaited Gautham Menon-STR return with Sattendru Maaruthu Vaanilai, an untitled Pandiraj project, Tamil comedy Vaalu and fresh off the grapevine...a new film with director Selvaraghavan, slated to hit floors in February. While some are under the impression that his much delayed action-thriller Vettai Mannan has been dropped, the actor seemed to be telling us otherwise when he retweeted STRFansExpress just recently. The tweet read: ‘Oh its Totally 6 movies!!! @iam_STR .... #Vaalu #VettaiMannan #IngaEnnaSolludhu #STRPandirajmovie #STRGautham #STRSelvaraghavan #2014.’ Now that’s got to clear things up for fans right?
As icing on the cake, the actor is also filming two guest appearances as himself in Kaaka Muttai and Inga Enna Solludhu, which if you do the math actually ups his film booty of 2014 to a lucky number 7! After disappointing reviews with his last release, Podaa Podi...here’s hoping STR brings back the magic this New Year. However, with extensive hours of filming in the coming months, we suggest glucose over plum cake this Christmas.
