Simbu's dog passes away - Times Of India
Simbu loves his pet dog very much and his dog, a Great Dane named 'Don' passed away recently. The actor seems to be down with the loss of his pet animal which seemed to be good companion to the young super star. Meanwhile Simbu is busy with work on his next flick 'Vaalu', which is a comedy flick directed by Vijay Chandar starring Simbu and Hansika in the lead with Santhanam and VTV Ganesh in important roles while Thaman is scoring the music.
Simbu tweeted "Lost a good frnd and loyal companion - Man's best frnd indeed ... R.I.P. Don." Animal lovers and fans of the actor have been posting condolence messages on the social networking sites.
While Vaalu is a love story and is about a youngster who lives in the railway quarters in Chennai, Simbu is also working Vettai Mannan which also has Hansika has his pair. Simbu plays a gangster in the film and am planning to shoot in the USA, Mexico and Chennai.
Mahat Raghavendra Thanked Simbu
Mahat Raghavendra, who is playing a lead role in Backbench Student, thanked Simbu for singing a song in his Backbench. He twitted, “Thanx a lot simbu, it's the number one track of last week here!!! Ppl love the track! It's really great that u sang in Telugu!!!”
Backbench’s soundtracks are composed by Sunil Kashyap which was launched on February had got good response from the audience. Simbus power mix sung by Simbu is combination of Ilaiyaraja’s music from his days. Simbu known for his singing in Tamilnadu and now he is trying with Telugu audiences. This film is to hit screens on March 15 and features Mahat, Pia Bajpai and Archan kavi. Madhura Sreedhar Reddy directing the film and MVK Reddy is producing it. And the story is loosely based on Chetan’s Revolution 2020.

Simbu and Trisha for Jayam Ravi
Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan is releasing this weekend and wishes are pouring in for Jayam Ravi. The special wishes came in from Trisha and Simbu. Simbu tweeted, “All da very best, Jayam Ravi for Aadhi Bhagavan. Hope all the hard work pays off and you reap the best out of it!”
Trisha too wished him best and added, “You sure deserve the best!”
Trisha and Jayam Ravi are getting together for the second time after Unakkum Enakkum in Kalyana Krishnan’s Boologam. Jayam Ravi plays a boxer and Trisha plays his love interest and the sister of a ‘Parotta’ master.

STR condemns killing of Prabhakaran's son!
STR, who is an avid supporter of the Tamil Eelam movement in Srilanka, has comdemned the murder of late LTTE cheif Prabhakaran's 12-year old son Balachander. A TV channel in Britain recently released pictures of Balachandran, which indicates the boy was shot dead by the Sri Lankan Army in May 2009. "Very disturbed after seeing the murder pics of the innocent boy :( My heart goes out 2 him & May his soul rest in peace,"STR tweeted.

Simbu who is fast completing his Vaalu has crooned a song for Pandiraj's 'Kedi
Billa Killadi Ranga' starring Siva Karthikeyan, Vimal, Bindu Madhavi and Regina
Cassandra. Yuvan has scored the music.
Simbu has sung the opening song of the film with Yuvan. The audio of the film
is to be launched on February 6. Simbu, who is known to croon a number in
almost all his films, off lately has been singing for other films as well and the
latest is for Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga.
The comedy entertainer is produced by Pandiraj and P Madhan. Studio Green has bagged the distribution rights of the film. Simbu recently also sung for Nakul starrer Naan Rajavaga Pogiren in G V Prakash's music.
