Simbu and 'Inga ena soludhu' team in London

Simbu has his feet in a couple of projects, and all of them on their brink of completion. His International Love and Peace album is still on the cards, zeroing on completion are his films Vaalu and Vettai Mannan. He has also been recently signed up for an extended cameo in VTV Ganesh and team's Inga ena Soludhu.


The shoot of Inga Ena Soludhu is currently taking place in London, and Simbu has joined the shoot, where a song is also being recorded. Music is composed by Dharan and the movie also has VTV Ganesh, Meera Jasmin and Santhanam in the cast. Simbu has posted on his social network site that "Kutty payale" is the song which he penned lyrics and also shakes a leg for this Vincent Selva film.

STR, Pandiraj Team Up For A Love Story

Pasanga director Pandiraj has finalized Simbu for his next film. This movie, he says, will be an out-and-out love story. Says the filmmaker, “After Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, I started writing this romantic script. When I approached Simbu with it, he liked the story and confirmed the project. Simbu’s brother Kuralarasan will be composing music for this movie.” He adds, “We are planning to shoot the entire film in the city as the subject is an urban love story. Simbu is currently shooting in London and once he is back, we will finalize the shoot dates.We have not decided the female lead for this film yet.”

This is the first time that the director is teaming up with Simbu. Initial reports had stated that Dhanush was the original choice for the lead role. However, the director clears the air about it and says, “No, I did not approach Dhanush with this subject. Simbu was my only choice.”

Simbu to dance to brother's tunes?


Kollywood has found many siblings in a family from the filmdom recently. The buzz in K-town is that Simbu who is currently shooting for Vaalu is next set to team up with director Pandiraj of 'Pasanga' and 'KBKR' fame. The interesting part is that Simbu's brother Kuralarasan will be debuting as music composer for the film which will be produced by Simbu himself.
It is said that Simbu after hearing the script is said to have agreed to do the film, however an official confirmation is awaited on the same. Selvaraghavan - Dhanush combo has found a new sensation in the field with its films. Surya and Karthi proved the heritage of their father Sivakumar by portraying their skills. Simbu and Pandiraj to choose from 150!


Even as Simbu is busy fulfilling his commitments for Vaalu, there is a cloud of doubt over the status of Vettai Mannan. Still there continues to be high anticipation over his future projects. The latest buzz from the industry is that acclaimed National award winning director Pandiraj has signed up Simbu for his next outing.

Talking to Behindwoods, director Pandiraj has confirmed the signing and reveals that it will be a city based love story. The film is expected to be a romantic comedy and the director will be spending the next couple of months readying the script. Simbu is presently in London for an event and will be returning to Chennai in a few days.


Any STR film is likely to have an x-factor in terms of the music and this project will have one too, in the form of STR’s younger brother Kural Arasan. Pandiraj says that he had met with Kural who had almost 150 tunes ready and heard about 10 of them and decided that he would like to make use of the young man's talent in this film.


The project will be made under the combined production of Simbu and Pandiraj. Other details regarding the heroine, crew and the title of the project is expected to be decided upon in the coming weeks.

Simbu fights in a railway station


Director Vijay Chander has said that he is currently shooting a fight sequence featuring Simbu in a railway station near Hyderabad. Simbu's fight which is being choreographed by Kanal Kannan would be one of the highlights of Vaalu says the director. The shooting of Vaalu resumed last week in Hyderabad is progressing at a brisk pace. Vaalu is a love story laced generously with comedy starring Simbu, Hansika and Santhanam in the lead.

The comedy entertainer has music by Thaman. The film has long been in the making and has been experiencing issues from the production house and the dates of the artistes involved. Looks like the film is set to be wrapped with this final schedule in Hyderabad. There has been good response to the single track teaser of this romantic entertainer that was released recently. Vaalu is a love story and is about a youngster who lives in the railway quarters in Chennai.

Simbu and Sun unite for the first time

After being in the making for a substantial amount of time, looks like things are progressing quickly on the Vaalu front. The director, Vijay Chander, had explained recently that he would be looking at a festival release for Vaalu and now his plans have received a major boost with Sun Pictures bagging the theatrical release rights of Vaalu. The satellite rights of the movie will obviously go to Sun TV now.

Recently Sun Pictures were involved in the distribution of Kuttipuli. It's a big shot in the arm for Simbu and his fans, as a wide release and sound marketing are guaranteed now for Vaalu, thanks to Sun's extensive network. This will also mark the first time that a Simbu film would be distributed by Sun Pictures.

Following superhit releases like Love Pannalama Venaama from Podaa Podi, Pondatti from Osthe and Loosu Penne from Vallavan, Simbu is all geared up to add one more successful song to his kitty. For the sake of friendship, Simbu is in the habit of lending his voice but this time around he has stepped it up for the VTV Ganesh starrer Inga Enna Solludhu.

Simbu is set to entertain audiences in a double treat of singing and dancing in the film where he is also set to play a pivotal role. The song is said to be shot in London. The interesting fact is that Simbu has the Midas touch when it comes to the songs that he sings and stars in.

Meera Jasmine, coming out of her hiatus, plays the lead in the film opposite VTV Ganesh. Under Selva’s direction Inga Enna Solludhu is allegedly nearing completion.

Simbu to shake a leg to Kutty Payale


After the success of Loose Penne, Evan Di Unna Pethan and Love Pannalama Venaama, Simbu is now ready with his next song Kutty Payale for the film Inge enna Solluthu. The film, which has VTV Ganesh and Meera Jasmine playing the lead, has Simbu playing a prominent role. Not only has the actor penned the lyrics of the song composed by music director Dharan, the buzz is that he's going to be grooving to the song too.

STR's Vaalu eyes two festivals ...


Reports of STR starrer Vaalu releasing on August 15th have been washed away as rumours by our sources close to the team. They are supposedly looking to release their film on a festival day - either on the Vinayaka Chaturthi day in September or Diwali. While starting the project, Simbu and team wanted the film to be a quickie. But, things didn’t go as per plan and the film is still in production.

The last schedule will go on floors on June 28th in Hyderabad. The team along with Simbu, Hansika and villain, Adithya, will shoot for an intense action sequence involving 15 fighters. For this purpose, art director Lalgudi Ilayaraja will be erecting a set in Lingampalli Railway Station, Hyderabad. The team has also planned to can a sophisticated blast sequence.

The team is being led by director Vijay Chander. Thaman is working on the music and Shakthi takes the spot behind the camera. Santhanam, VTV Ganesh, Naren and Sri Ranjani are also part of the ensemble.
