Simbu, Selva, Yuvan to work together
The trio might team up for a project next year
Here’s a new actor-director combination that’s set to rock Kollywood next year. We hear that Simbu will team up with none other than Selvaraghavan, actor Dhanush’s brother, on a project soon. What’s more, it looks like the music for this film will mark the return of the Yuvan Shankar Raja-Selva combination.
A source says, “The two (Selva and Simbu) met up recently and discussed the proposition. Both of them are interested in working together and the fact that Yuvan, who has worked extensively with Simbu, wanted to get back again with Selva made the idea more exciting.” Selvaraghavan, who is currently busy with Irandaam Ulagam starring Arya and Anushka, is working on a love story for the Simbu project. A source says, “It will have a lot of musical elements. Yuvan has composed some of his best tunes for Selva in films like Kadhal Kondein and 7G Rainbow Colony.” After their initial films, the filmmaker opted to work with composers like G V Prakash and Harris Jayaraj. There is a lot of expectations from this ‘comeback’ film.
When Chennai Times contacted Simbu about this development, all he was willing to say was, “It’s too early to talk about this project.”

Same day for Vaalu and Poda Podi
Simbu is a busy man shuttling between his schedules for the projects he’s currently signed up for. October 10th will be a hectic day for him as he returns to the sets of Vaalu to resume the pending schedule of that film. The same evening he will be appearing for the audio launch of Podaa Podi which has music by Dharan and will have Varalakshmi Sarathkumar making her silver screen debut. The film is being tipped as a dance-flick and will showcase the swiftness of it's lead pair.
Earlier the Podaa Podi team released a single track ‘Love Panlaama’ sung by STR himself. The song has gone on to become a big hit among the youth. The track has also generated enough expectations on Dharan who makes a comeback after Thambikku Indha Ooru in 2010.

Simbu’s Not in Yet
The latest buzz in the industry is that Simbu is all set to be seen in Ajith’s next with Siruthai Siva. It’s being said that Simbu met Ajith recently, and expressed his desire to share screenspace in one of his films. And Ajith graciously agreed to have him make a guest appearance in his next.
However, Siva denies the reports, saying, “Simbu is not doing a special role in my film. I don’t know who spreads such rumours.” However, Siva does tell us that there’s scope for a cameo appearance. “The script requires a guest appearance by an actor, and I’ve not yet started casting for that. As of now, only Anushka and Santhanam have been roped in. The rest of the cast and crew will fall in place soon.”
A source close Ajith says, “Simbu is a self-confessed Ajith fan, and they meet up whenever they can. However, Simbu didn’t discuss the possibility of sharing screenspace yet.”

Surprise from Simbu's Poda Podi
The track Love Pannalama Venamaa from Simbu's Poda Podi has already created a buzz around the city and every FM channel is playing the song in a loop. Now the makers of Podaa Podee have decided to surprise people more. The music launch of the Simbu starrer is all set to happen on October 10th. The songs have been composed by Dharan and debutant Vignesh Shivaa has helmed the film.
Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar plays the love interest of Simbu in the film. Shobana and VTV Ganesh appear in character roles and Santhanam and Premji will be seen in guest roles in the film. The film is said to hit the screens on Diwali, November 13th.
